Problem With USB game controller
Problem With USB game controller –
I have a trouble with my PS2 Usb controller,it works fine with my ps3 normally,if i have a backup on the internal hdd,but if i try running the same backup on a external usb hdd,the usb hdd stops working until i unplug the usb ps2 controller.
I tried 2 usb hdds which work fine with my PS3 with the ps2 usb controller unplugged, but if i connect a ps2 or any other usb game controller, they stop working until i unplug the usb controller.(The usb hdds keep working if i connect a usb camera like the Eyetoy or the usb charge cable for the dualshock 3 though.)
Any solution to this?
The backup before you ask,is MK9.
Other backups have the same trouble,so is this a problem with the FW?,or maybe something PS3 related outside of FW?
Sounds like a power problem.
If your not using a powered HUB then get one, you can get a 7 port hub including a 3Amp / 3000mA 5v power supply, providing a maximum 500ma per USB port. Enough power to run up to 7 USB 2.5 HD once connected to your PS3, all for around £7.00 upwards delivered here in the UK, bargain.
whats strange is that the light in both usb hdds is still there and its conneced ,means it doesnt power down,it seems as if the ps3 cutted off or either doesnt detect the usb hdd if the usb controller is plugged for some reason,im not using a hub, though for the record,im using a ps3 120gb slim.
I will check out a usb hub,in the meanwhile,is there any other solution?
