Problem Ripping Infamous 2.
Problem Ripping Infamous 2. –

I am running 3.55 and using MM 2.0 and I can not seem to get Infamous 2 to rip to any hard drive. I had seen numerous people say it can be ripped and there are rips on the torrents but no luck for me. The torrent version I noticed is only around 6GB. When I tell MM to backup my copy it states is just over 14GB. It will start to copy the files but every time it gets to 30% and hangs. Any one else have this problem? If so, whats the fix or what am I doing wrong?

I cannot offer any advice on how to get it to rip correctly. However I can confirm that the correct size is just over 14GB so MM is reporting the size correctly.
Just a quick thought; are you running the latest MM release, 2.0.0.4 I believe it is

14 GB is correct. The 6 GB version is a rip with none of the cutscenes. I don't know if this is related, but I can't play Infamous 2 because the install to hard drive always hangs.

Found out what it was after much troubleshooting. It was a brand new game that I just unpacked and somehow there was a small piece of tape or plastic wrap like material on the back of the disc. Once I removed it the game ripped perfectly to the drive.

OK guys I need a bit of help again with this game lol. I accidentally installed the 1.01 patch and ever since the game will not boot and asks for 3.60 update. I have browsed the internal hard drive and removed everything for BCUS98125 with no luck. I have even removed the game from my external and ripped it to the hard drive again with no change. I have double checked the param.sfo file to make sure that MM did edit it for 3.55 and that is configured properly. I am out of ideas on how to get Infamous 2 to load again. Anyone have any ideas?

Remove the infamous 2 game data. Scroll to your game section in xmb scroll to the top where it says game data. Delete whatever infamous 2 data you find there. There is a patch floating around to play on 3.55 firmware.

You are a damn genesis! I never knew that stuff was even there before. However I am now getting a black screen. I am going to try and reload the eboot and see if that helps.
EDIT
Reloading the eboot fixed it after removing that data. The update made the eboot like 24MB instead of around 9MB for the patched version. Thank again for the help

Most likely the param.sfo file is already patched. Multiman only asks one time and you may have gotten a copy of the game online that came prepatched. If you want you can copy the param.sfo file to your computer and google ps3 sfo editor and load the file into this program. Click on advanced edit and make sure the ps3 system version says 3.5500 and not 3.6000. If it is wrong change it and save the settings and put the file back. If the game boots to a black screen you most likely need to replace the eboot.bin file with the fixed one that you can find online by searching for infamous 2 fixed eboot
