To run this game you need to create folder "POP0_ISO" in PS3_GAME/Userdir like in Assassins Creed Brotherhood.
I think this way should be working with AC 1 and any other UNISOFT game, just need to get the folder name from unselfed "eboot.bin".
PS
Keyword to search "_ISO".

As of today, version 1.15.00 of MultiMan now has a fix for all games that used to black screen. The game must be on your external HDD and you must be using kmeaw's firmware (doesn't work on Waninkoko's). When loading a game that used to black screen, press select + x on it. This will initiate the fix and the game should load just fine.

No, this won't help. This game won't start because of missing directory. I tried to start the game before create the folder, game just returns to xmb, then after creating the folder: game crushes with error, when trying to install game data.
If you try to start game without "SELECT+X" you just get black screen. =(
So 100% working way is to create missed folder and signet PKG with multiman tool.

No. It does help. I have this game and I ripped it to my external hdd about 10 mins ago, did the select + x trick and it works. If you own the legit copy and make a backup to external it will work with the new 1.15 multiman. If you've downloaded a copy and are missing directories...then god knows what you'll need to do.

Maybe we just have different versions, and that's the problem. And by the way, empty directory can't be ripped. Thats why Brotherhood won't work without "ASSASSIN_ISO" folder.
PS
So, if everyone now can play that game, why moders don't close the topic?
