Im pretty sure I just tired this with POP:TFS just for the hell of it after I read this post
http://psx-scene.com/forums/677324-post729.html ([EASIEST GUIDE YET] BDVD into HDD/USB/CF/MS/SD EBOOTs.)
but it didnt work, just kick me back to XMB..!!
the EBOOT.BIN has a lot of /dev_bdvd/PS3_GAME/USRDIR/ strings in it.. So IDRK WTF the deal is..?
I'm not at all sure (no first-hand experience with those EBOOTs), but it could just be that some games use relative paths instead of or in addition to absolute paths. In this case, editing the EBOOT paths isn't necessary, but it probably won't work with many games.
For games confirmed to work with this method, can anyone find evidence that relative paths are used?
did dean ever release an autopatcher?
This method doesn't need automation, but in any case Dean hasn't done one, although he has made a shadow feature in MultiMan which helps compatibility and if people want to play their games organised rather than via the XMB.
However a guy called michaelss has made an autopatcher:

Providing i can understand what i am supposed to do, i will give I a try when i get home.
This method doesn't work with Tools of Destruction. Works with NUNS2 though
