no error number....

How to get it to install
How to get it to install –

I had this same problem! You need to make a copy of the game to the PS3's internal HDD, boot the internal copy and it should then install the save data.
After it has installed you can delete it from internal and play it from external. There is nothing wrong with the rip you have it just need's to be on internal to install the game data.
Hope this helps?

wow weird... as you probably know it takes FOREVER to install this game, its made of millions of small files
i did backup to internal, then installed game, but got same error
i don't think i tried back to internal, install game data, delete game from internal and run from external, but i guess i'll try!

thanks yes i've installed both from external and internal, applied fixed, game data installs fine, but then when i go to start a game i get the 'cannot make save data' error
i will try again, will copy to internal, install pkg, then install game data, then delete game from internal, put game on external and try to run
i think i'm also going to try to install with only english first... there are like 15 languages for this game, all tiny files...

thanks for all the help, re-installed to internal, ran pkg, installed game data, then worked fine from internal. i guess i could now try to run from external but i think i'll just leave it where it is!!!
