    Hello everyone,

I am trying to get the PSN (PS1 classic) version of Parasite Eve 2 to play, but when I try to launch it I get some sort of resolution error along the lines of "this game can not run at current resolution". I tried changing my PS3 from 1080p 16:9 to 480p 4:3, still same error.

    Any idea?

Info about how to fix it here and why it still doesn't work after fixing the SFO: http://psx-scene.com/forums/content/...olutions-2021/. You may need to build a PKG file with the new SFO so it writes the data into your index. Don't know where you got Parasite Eve 2, but there's supposed to be a second pkg file with it. Install that after installing the game and it should work

Tried the "second" pkg file to no avail. Tried it multiple times before posting here.

did you try changing your tv to 720 and running the game after editing the param.sfo to support 480. Parasite Eve 2 is a PAL game and from your first post I didnt' see you tried 720. By default it displays in 720 and 576 (PAL) but if you edit the PARAM.SFO to support 480, then change ps3 to display in 720 and run the game it will correct the index on your ps3 for that game. It probably won't show right, but after you exit and restore your ps3's correct display settings the game will work the next time you run it

It should have been corrected for you when you installed that second pkg file. I remember seeing a fix pkg and a "correct" fix pkg for this game. You probably just got the wrong fix. Follow the instructions above and on that link and it will work for you

no I can't. If it was just a display fix then I could but all the patches out there are game cracks as well. Most I can tell you is it's on the ISO forum that was under attack by hackers yesterday. It's gonna take some work to navigate the pages for the next couple days because of APACHE errors from the attack. Look in the stickied topics in the PSN section. It's there but the link to the PSX section gives you an apache error. you'll have to manually scroll through the pages until you find the list of PSX games.
