open query: cfw stability and game support
I'm looking for the best cfw thats stable and I'm not sure which one to pick. I've tried both kmeaw and wutang 3.55 and I've been eyeing waninkoko even though I've only used his wii software. I've had stability problems with kmeaw at the lv2 v1-2 phase, even in the xmb my ps3 would freeze every other reboot. My ps3 is a 40 gb model, and I'm not interested in moving all 3 ps3s in my household to a cfw that I could barely get back into recovery menu.
I did hear about the bricking of 60 gb models on waninkoko but I assume that was at fault of the user or attempted to be fixed in v2.
I've noticed I can't install Rogero manager on wutang, even 7.9b, 7.9c, and I'll try 8 soon. multiman seems to have less support for wutang even though I love how stable it is, I've never had a crash except for gaia manager which was fixed in 2.06 but I wasn't able to install it on my wutang cfw I do feel that the two cfws that are upcoming for development are waninkoko and kmeaw.
I get black screens on burnout paradise, cod:waw, fear 2 with multiman and I'd like to make in-house gaming better for all consoles. I appreciate any input and opinion. I'll be reading and googling meanwhile.
I liked the idea of kmeaw but it was so unstable I couldn't bare it. Has the release of the newer lv2 versions increased its stability with merging it into the cfw or is it still just as unstable for those who have tried using it? I don't know much about waninkoko v2 other than the changelog. From a user's perspective what is your experience with any of the 3 cfws? And which one to you tops out as the #1 for you? thanks
