not able to load games using backup manager

Ok my friend swim has rooted his htc desire and flashed to open desire rom then managed to get psfreedom and backup manager on his PS3..

He has a problem though that no game seems to work, Say he puts little big planet disk in his PS3 and then trying to run a french copy of infamous from backup manager it will send him back to the ps3 home screen and tell him LBP is still in the and no sign of infamous booting

he said he has also tried gta4 and red dead

any help would be Fing A

Prolly because he used a non patched version of psfreedom ...

He has flashed both the psfreedom files from the HTC desire thread on this forum

and has also just tried another version of Backup manager

and just to confirm i am on v3.41

Anything else i can try?

Actually this happened to me , it was very strange, i could run backup manager but like you say when i go back to the XMB it would still have the disc game loaded, i.e it wasnt mounting...

i turned off and did it again having NO other usb cables or anything plugged in excpet the jailbreak and it worked,

Yeah he has tried every combination he can think of and nothing seems to work.. he is going to re-install psfreedom now to his htc desire

he had no luck trying a re-install.. he is starting to think that PSfreedom for htc desire just dose not work

id say 1/10 times that pops up and i have to re do the power, on and eject glitch..

sounds like the hack isnt quite working, id delete everything and start again, i do it on the palm pre, works everytime perfectly,

I'm having the same issue with my PIC device. It performs the exploit, I can install packages, use the ftp app etc, but after backing up a game and trying to load it with the same game in the bluray drive, it kicks me back to the XMB. Tried 2 make 2 backups and both do the same thing. Don't if it's because the disc is scratched (it doesn't look like it) or what the issue is. And yes the version I flashed on my PIC has those few bytes changed so it supports backup manager

I've sourcing a backup from elsewhere to test if its my discs or something else...
