Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Occasionally Freezing

Have been playing a lot of Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 of late and it seems like ever chapter at some point the game locks up mostly at the save spots or completing a chapter. Sometimes it will freeze to a black screen and other times it will just freeze with whatever is on the screen. On occasion I will have to hard reboot the system by turning off the main power switch in the back, other times a soft reboot does the trick. I did update the game content online to the newest version, I am using ps3 custom firmware 3.55 kmeaw, the newest version of MM and the game is on a external drive.

I have played a few other games with little lock ups but it does happen from time to time. Beat COD Black Ops and Heavy Rain with few issues.

Is this just a flaw of NGS2 or may I be heading down the road to bigger problems?

yeah,i had the same problem with the game and i got pissed and deleted it,now i have a problem with Devil May Cry 4,it takes me out of the game right in the beginning of it,i don;t know maybe some games with older firmware are not working great on kmeaw

Yeah I get a few hiccups here and there, some games seem to be worst than others but I am still making it threw this one. Just wanted to make sure I was not the only one with this happening.

Make sure you are not playing every game with bdmirror. NGSII does not like bdmirror, especially Hermes version. Same thing with devil may cry. Also try doing the permissions task for each game in miltiman. My NGSII does not freeze at all anymore.

Is BDMirror automatically assigned to games in MM, if not it is not turned on.

As far as Permission Tasks, do you mean I just have to apply them to each game before playing or adjust them for each game prior to playing?

More or less all I do is always install the game to the external drive, update via the PSN and play usually with a game in the drive.
