Hello, just finished my midterms and finally have some free time and decided to try out all the new softmodding that is out for PS3 . I started today literally so I had never any of the older methods, just went 3.55 CFW Kmeaw. I decided to try out Rogero 7.9c and currently have my back up on my external HDD and was happy to see getting it to work is not that hard.

I want to get my back up on my internal hard disc, but the copy function doesn't work(fails instantly trying to copy the first file). Googling my problem finds me someone who had the same problem and downgraded to 7.7 to get the copy function working again.
I read that you have to change DIRs when uninstalling, is this only for the internal back ups or is it necessary for the save games etc as well?

I wondered wether it is likely I will encounter other problems when downgrading to 7.7? Or are the changes really minor?

I also wanted to try out another of the software available, like Multiman or something, is it dangerous or unwise to install both at the same time? Certain things I have to look out for?

Finally, assuming I don't fix the problem, is it dangerous to keep running my back up from the external HDD? It was quite hot after my session, though not too hot or anything... hear a lot of people that kill their external HDD running their back ups around here or not?

You can have all the managers installed at the same time if you want too, its prety safe they are all indiependent from each other.

As to copying files, try looking at a seperate file manager, it looks basic but I have never had any problems with it.

Make sure you butter the non reflective side of your CD's / DVD's and Blu-Rays so that when you drop them, they land butter side down thus preventing scratches.

TY for answering some of the questions

Oh one more question, two times during my experimenting a bit Rogero either didn't boot and the screen kept black, other time while loading my back up. PS3 was 100% unresponsive and had to hard-reset it. Problem or standard and not harmful?

Anyone can answer the external HDD question?
for those that don't want to read: is it advisable to play the games via external HDD or should you always put em on the intern one?
