Hey guys ok so im super confused (Generally i have no issues relating to ps3 hacks)

So 120gb slim ps3 used to be on 3.41 with jailbreak running gaia manager, Updated to 3.55 OFW then to 3.55 Kmeaw

No problems all previously games backups work via the use of fixpermissions pkg and lv2 patcher,

Updated gaia to latest 2.05 and went to backup a game today (sonic all star racing) done the usual put in press O to rip but it takes forever, 0.20gb in 8mins

So installed latest MULTIman to test, so the whole game ripped in around 8mins so i put a different game in and pressed x to launch the backup it exits back to the xmb but it is not displaying the backup only the disc which is in the drive.

I am going crazy here, tried i think possibly every combination and had no luck

    Any advice

    Thanks

Edit: it appears to be a problem with just that game, backing up blackops now just about 3.35gb done in 7mins so it's looking good

Will post an update once it's done

Are you referring to discless booting?
Because you said that your backup doesn't show on the xmb but the disc of the game you inserted right?

As far as I know, the latest multiman and Gaia removed discless booting(no app_home folder booting), so you would have to boot from your disc that you inserted.
After you press X to play the backup, it should boot you back to xmb and from your disc icon it should change to the game you backed up instead of the game you inserted in your ps3 then you can play.
I was playing little big planet 2 backed up externally using gaia 2.05 and everything were working fine

No I always have a game in the drive and don't have discless enabled

However I have just tried deleting all managers, patches etc and reinstalled gaia 2.05 on its own, trying a different game and it seems to be going ok so far, I will post an update shortly

That's why it wasn't working earlier lol
Yes you would need to delete patches and backup managers with integrated lv2patch in them because what I've heard is that the newest backup managers may not function properly

Yeah I think it just needed a fresh install because even deleting the patches it still did not work.

So anyone else with this issue move your backup folder away delete Gaia, patches etc, reboot, reinstall Gaia, move games back and you should be good

Everything is working again here apart from sonic and sega all star racing, not to much of an issue just need to play that one from the original disc I guess the compatablitly list is just wrong on that one

Did you delete the sonic and sega all star racing game data?
Probably that's why it's not working

Yeah I deleted the game data but still no luck

    It's not a big issue

I wish the discless mode had not been removed, I know it was not great but it worked for some titles

deleting is not necessary. Unless they conflict to each other but alas no.

I have MultiMan 1.13 (latest version as of posted), Open Manager and LV2 v4 patch installed. They work flawlessy.. just execute them seperately...

if you want to use MultiMan then dont use Open Manager and LV2 v4 patch.. If i want some discless game, i just restart my console and load LV2 first then Open Manager.

I only use MM for some games like Ratchet and LBP since they were having some PL3 common freeze issues. Other games are booted via LV2 v4 patch with the help of Open Manager.

btw... Sonic and Sega All Star Racing does have more than 12000+ files.. so its normal that it would take a few more time than any other game. And it requires an update file to work (which is not possible for now, since there's no payload fix yet for Game Updates like in 3.41). But you can just patch the eboot to make it like a PSN game so you can play it on your 3.55FW
    Model: CECHC04 PAL/EUR 60GB SKU Console
Firmware: REBUG 3.55 CFW [DEBUG MODE, DEBUG XMB, MENU OPTION 2]
BM: Iris Manager v1.2 (Hermes Syscall8)
