Need advice for copying data to new system
Need advice for copying data to new system –
Ok, so I had a 40gb system with a BD drive failure. I had a new 80gb an decided id upgrade it to a 500gb, then I restored my data from the backup I made on the old 40gb, unfotunatly I did not get all of my data restored. Particularly I did not get any of my Rockband ripped songs from the first 2 games and the track packs or any of the songs i paid for an downloaded. In the game data utility there are 2 large files for rockband data that ive notice grow each time i used to add songs(as apposed to seperate files for each song? although i had been reading about .rif files for each song?)
So question 1. is, is this normal operation for the restore/backup feature? if not i can still backup and restore again.
and 2. is there away to manually bring the data/files across to the new system? or maybe someone can tell me where the data is stored? whether it be 1 or 2 large file or several small .rif files?
I had a problem with all of the save files being linked to the old system so I used the xreg plus v1.0 to restore that (xregistry.sys), i suspect this may help me in my efforts to restore some of the game data as well(act.dat?)....any help appreciated
worst case i could attempt PSN to redownload but i would like to avoid it if possible.
