Nba Jam black screen on 3.55 geohot –
When i boot the game from the xmb i get a black screen so i read that you have to have the game data installed for it to work. When i install the update the game dissapears from the xmb and the update is in the game data folder how can i get this game to work.
Can anybody help me with this.
sorry for the multiple posts but i really want to know what im doing wrong and how i can fix it
Not sure what the problem is I've tired the .pkg in the boot thread and it didn't load past the NBA screen. I made my own .pkg and when editing the eboot it didnt require us to update the dir from PS3_GAME to anything else, so naturually we would put the USRDIR in hdd0/game/BLUS30696 . We have to install the package to another DIR so we sign the pkg and .sfo file to say BLUS12345 and then upload the .sfo again point back to the orginal BLUS30696 but I just get the NBA JAM loading screen (freezes). I have a similar problem with The Shoot expect with that it starts loading then just kicks back out. I know I'm making these .pkg partly right because I've made 3 games load.
So my question for games that install to HDD do we update the BLUSxxxxx in the eboot.bin to something different then the orginal or just the .sfo ?
edit: we would upload the USRDIR to BLUS12345 as thats the dir we would install to.
good question at least you get the loading screen i get a black screen then the ps3 freezes i hope someone has a solution to this.
are you using the .pkg from the boot thread? or your own ? If your using your known what dir did it install to and finally where did you put your USRDIR ?
I created my own .pkg and edited it to look for NBJ_GAME then i downloaded a update pkg and installed that now when i try to reinstall my game pkg it tells me a later version is already installed so i delete the game data and install the game pkg again and i get a black screen my setup is dev_hdd0/NBJ_GAME/USRDIR on my internal hdd.
If you look in the eboot there is no reference to PS3_GAME so we don't need to redirect to a different dir. unself, then use npdrm and make the package without any changes. Change the .sfo from BLUS30696 to BLUS12345 (or whatever) and sign the package with the make package to BLUS12345 then ftp back in and upload the USRDIR to hdd0/game/BLUS12345 . Overwrite the .sfo with the the orginal and copy over the USRDIR without the eboot ofcourse to the dir above or where ever you sign the package too. This gets you the NBA splash screen stating its loading but it just keeps loading lol.
