NBA 2K11 distorted noise when MJ shows up (then freeze)

hello, i tried 3 releases of this game, but cannot make it work. all goes fine, controller works, but when MJ shows up, you can hear weird noises from the speakers. the pre-match ceremony continues, still with noise, cannot be skipped and finally game freezes and goes black screen. i guess i tried everything. PLEASE HELP if YOU CAN.

Mine works without disc and unpatched using Ipod Mini 1G with Hermes v4b, Gaia Manager 1.04.1 and Open Manager 1.17.2. Have you tried playing the game without disc and unpatched?

LOL i guess Michael Jordan does that effect on your game

Joke aside i have never encountered such problem...

Using a Busware.de stick with hermesv4b.psn.eco.xoeo.cyberskunk.3.50.spoof
on it... with rogero manager 7.7 and random ps3 disc inside...

yeah man, i tried to play without disc. i tried every possible combination.

and yes mj is mighty.

anything else i forgot about?

I hate to dig up an old post - but I just ran into this exact problem. I am running CFW KMEAW 3.55 with MultiMAN 2.01.00 on a PS3 Slim w/ST9750420A 750GB w/Jumper for SATA 1

Same exact symptoms! OP did you ever figure it out?

Apparently so.... that's why it is acting a fool for me! Seriously though, I know I am a newbie and all, coming over from xbox-scene - but - this has stumped me!

Ok - Finally got it handled. I had to backup through multiMAN and then run it the first time backed up to my external. After that no problems... ODD
