    i loaded gt5 with multiman but im getting no sound. i have messed around in the menu (havent actually raced a car yet) but there is no sound

    can anyone help? i have replaced the eboot.bin file

    Hi

    I had same problems, with sound via optical to amp, i just reseted settings then all was good..... Not sure why it happend, but i had been playing about with my settings quite a bit prior to playing the game....

    which settings did you reset. i just have my tv speakers. i'll try again.

    I had the same problem I was not getting any sound. Once I install the PL3_Fix app it fixed the problem.

    I dont think is a backup manager issue,

    gt5 uses dts 5.1 sound format, one of the newest formats that is becoming very common in hd movies(bluerays).

    Some tvs dont support the conversion of this format and dont reproduce the sound.

    some home theathers dont either.

    go to the xmb, then sound settings, chose your audio output and manually chose the formats, do not include dts. this way ps3 wont send any sound in this format and your tv will be able to handle it.
