    Hi,

I decided to move from 3.41 system to 3.55 KMEAW.

Upgraded to 3.55 KMEAW and started to test all my games from the USB disk. out of 55 games 50 worked.

I decided to test some of the working games to the internal disk.

I created //dev_hdd0/game/LAUN12345/GAMEZ/ directory and placed the copy there.

I started with Assassins Creed II. Transfer with FTP.
After the transfer I am using Multimanager 1.15.03.FULL the same way as before. I start/mount the game and NO direct start. First time multimanager claims is fixes permissions.

XMB starts and I choose to start my game, it blacks for a couple of seconds and then BANG! back to XMB.

I am about to try the same procedure on some other games.

How come that when the game was on the USB disk, which I moved from an working 3.41 system after being transfered to internal disk is not working anymore?

change your file path name //dev_hdd0/BDRIPS (place game inside BDRIPS) , this is what i am using and have no probs with any games.
Also check any non working games have all original eboots/param files inside because coming from 3.41 chances are you have modded some games to make them work on 3.41.
Lastly run Fix Permission.pkg, when i FTP a new game to internal hdd i ALWAYS run the 3.55 Fix Permissions.pkg (only need to run it when new game is placed on hdd)

    good luck

    Hi,
    Thank you!

I am reading my initial post now, god I was tired I can barely understand my own words

    What I ment was,

The USB disk was used in a 3.41 dongle PS3KEY system.

Some of the games have modified files to work on 3.41, those did not work.

All the other games on the USB disk worked, all I did was to move the USB disk from the old 3.41 PS3 to this 3.55 KMEAW system. And launched the games with Multimanager 1.15.03 from the USB disk.

Then I wanted to move some of the games to the internal disk that is when I ran into the problem.

I connected my USB disk to my PC and just had them copied with FTP.

I agree with you that filepermissions or such is involved since the games works from my USB disk (FAT32, no filepermissions possible in that file system)

I just made a copy of the game GRID with Multimanager, to internal disk, it worked well. Multimanager placed the game in //dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES00256-[RACEDRIVER GRID ]

It runs fine by mounting it with Multimanager (not direct start) and when doing this I have another gamed disc in the blueray.

I will try your suggestions shortly.

Just to mention, as I read about Multimanager 1.15.03 it does include the file permissions fix autmatically or through R1, not the same?

What fixpermissions file are you using?

    I found this one, FIX_PERMISSIONS_Waninkoko_Kmeaw_CFW_3.55.PKG

    Cheers!

    Hi,

    Solved it!

It was related to my fooolish choice of creating //dev_hdd0/GAMES/LAUN12345/GAMEZ

I tested to FTP Assassins Creed II again from the USB disk to the Internal and had it saved in //dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES-00669[Assassins Creed II ] and Voila! It works!

I did not use the Fixpermissions PKG, however Multimanager set access permissions first launch.

Question now is if I am going to need Gaia manager in the furture will it find my already saved games or does Gaia manager only now about //dev_hdd0/GAMES/LAUN12345/GAMEZ ?

glad you got it working & yea FIX_PERMISSIONS_Waninkoko_Kmeaw_CFW_3.55.PKG is the one i meant, but MM has similar built in.
Yea i read somewhere that long file path names cause issues with booting games, weird huh
as for gaia manager you can always access your ps3 via FTP and change your games folder name to one gaia recognises if you cant see your games, ive never used gaia so im not sure of what paths it can see, but at least you got most things working now.
