I have made a PKG File which you can install and play the Multiplayer for this game online.

install the PKG then it will tell you to update the game, update it and it will go straight to Multiplayer Menu, so it wont show the Campaign mode etc.

MAKE SURE USRDIR IS IN dev_hdd0/MW2_GAME/USRDIR

    Code:

PS. MAKE SURE ALL PREVIOUS MODERN WARFARE 2 GAME DATA IS DELETED FROM GAME DATA UTILITY

Do you know if this same method can be used with black ops?

And just direct boot into multiplayer?

Haha I think I know what you've done here. You've taken the Multiplayer .self and used it as the EBOOT.BIN?

Hm.. if that was the case, then would creating 2 Eboots for one package work? And what about the eboot it came with? Black Ops has similar files too.

Edit: Just realized can't have same name files, currently have my MW2 split in 2 on the xmb, one for SP + Special Ops, the other one for MP, although they point in different paths, meaning 2 copies in the HDD.

If this is the case, maybe we could rip the game into 2 pieces :
1 for SP and 1 for MP...

Once you update wont the eboot you have in BLES01031/USRDIR be overwritten?

The fact that this method works is very very encouraging!

I have black ops ripped to my hard-drive, I'll try this method myself after having a look through the MW2 package above.

Ahh yes but here's the trick, instead of calling is BLES01031 if you call it BGES01031 it allows the game to run from there and the patch to install as normal

Thats how this works Its installs Modern Warfare 2 to BGES00683 and runs it from there and the patch runs from BLES00683, im currently working on Black Ops as we speak, another 2 hours at most and ill post results
