Hello! Ijust got my jb ps3 up and running and the first thing i was gonna do was test LAN in modern warfare with jb and normal console with my brother but the backed up game (modern warfare) does not work... Does it need some kind of fix? I backed it up to internal hdd.
The only thing that happends is that the PS3 freezes and i have to restart it.

All of the Call of Duty Games need BD Mirror (Select + X) with Multiman backup manager. Youll need to install BDEMU2.PKG first though, which can be found around the net. When I first used a JB back in Dec. there was no way to run these games. This should also work with most games that have a black screen issue. Hope this helps you out.

A minor correction: Select + X method is only required for Modern Warfare 1 + 2, Black Ops runs fine in regular mode.

You can't run The modern warfare games off internal, they need BD mirror to run & it can only be used with games off external. I had the same problem with modern warfare 2 before the release of the BD mirror function in Multiman in Jan. & I know modern warfare 1 is the same. You will need to copy any games that need the BD mirror to external hdd & have a disk in the drive to get them to run. I haven't really found through my experience that there was that much of a compatibility difference between backup managers, although I have found there are some compatibility issues between 3.41 & 3.55 though. I'd agree about Black-Ops not needing BD mirror, but will say that World at War also needs this method.

I can 100% corfirm that modern warfare 1 & 2 work with this method both on hermes 3.41 & kmeaw 3.55.
There are also alot of other games that only work with this method. There may be pkg fixes for some of these games to run them off internal on the net, but I strongly suggest you invest in an external hdd if you don't have one. Will 100% fix your problem.
