MGS 4 strange problem

I've put Metal Gear Solid 4 on my internal hdd and it boots fine, than you get install options.
thats fine too.

But when I get to the intro menu, with the new game, load game, mission briefing etc. my controller doesn't respond!

When I press the PS button it goes back to xmb, but in game it wont respond

What back up manager + Version are you using?

Also what firmware are you on - Kmeaw or Waninkoko?

I use multiman,gaia,rogero both of them have the same problem.
I have 3.55 kmeaw installed.
And the MGS 4 is US version.

I had a controller issue with EA Sports MMA it would constantly keep jumping menu's as if I had down pressed down I'd turn off your controller then turn it on again whilst attached with its USB Cable inside the PS3.

Let me know the sketch as soon as you've tried it.

I tried that without the usb and it didn't work....let me see with the usb on...the same.
By the way i have it diskless, i don't have any BD around here at this time.
Do you think that it caused by this ?

Possibly.

Try obtaining a BD and use Multiman 01.14.00. Press R1 before you boot the game press no.

Load and tell me what happens when using a Disk.

Hope this works. Let me know. (If the same happens refer back to booting the game press yes see what happens)

i had this happen to me in gt5 just a few times. i had to restart my ps3 or i would keep not responding.

Oh sorry i forgot to reply.
I tried it with BD and i still have the same problem but i think that i know the problem i will post the results.
Yeah i found the problem, it was the splited demo.dat.
Duh ! itransfered it as it is (12gb) into my internal HDD and it worked.
