Tried every possible method for getting the game to run, including updated and non updated always with the original eboots for the respective version on many different managers, and it always black screens after the epilepsy warning. I don't think my version has the original Param.SFO, so in a last ditch effort could someone upload it for either 1.0 or 1.05 and I could try it? Really desperate to get this one working and nothing has fixed it for a week now.

The way I tried launching was like this:
kmeaw3.55
My default games dir for all of the managers was configured to be /dev_hdd0/GAMES/
I put my gt5 folder in GAMES so it will be /dev_hdd0/GAMES/BCUS981114/
I launch the manager of my choice, for example multiman 1.13.04
I highlight gt5, press R1
Then press x to launch, it will ask to launch direct or goto xmb, i choose no so it brings me back to the xmb.
Then I launch /app_home/PS3_GAME on the xmb menu and the game launches.
This has basically worked for me discless, is that how you've been doing it?
PS - don't forget to delete previous gamedata too, and make sure you backup your previous saves somewhere because sometimes when you get the game to launch it ends up corrupting, but that only happened to me 1-2 times. Maybe you could try deleting the saves too, don't know if that would help though.
Did exactly this, I never played the game before so there was no data or saves.
were you using lv2 at all?
I've tried LV2 with the version of multiman and gaia that needed it, as well as not running it for the newer versions that have PL3 support implemented.
I am using the newest multiMan 1.14.01, and GT5 working for me.

In Fact i had to hit R1 too, for the Game to start, but it is working...
