i'm not really sure where this should go, so I apologize if this is in the wrong section. my problem is that I updated lbp2 to version 1.01 earlier today and now it says that I can't play it because i'm on hermes' 3.41 CFW. all it says upon startup is that I have to update to 3.50. I honestly have no idea what to do so any help would be greatly appreciated. before anyone says that I should just go to 3.55 also, I really don't feel like finding original eboots or installing a new CFW cause I like hermes'. i've tried every modified eboot that I could find and i'm not even sure if that would be the problem, or what's wrong.

edit: I also tried uninstalling the game data and then reinstalling, but all it says is that my save data is corrupt and I need to update the game version or lose my data now.

Honestly...you are going to have to make a choice. The ability to get game updates...or not. You might now want to hear it...but staying at 3.41 is just not sensible. Finding the original eboots is not that difficult...its not like there are dozens you have to find. Kmeaw CFW 3.55 is the way to go...I have not found a single game yet...that I personally have...that will not work...even my copy of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 now works! Also...Killzone 3 and Yakuza 3 work...great games...you will not want to wait for a modified eboot to play these games!

with you deleting your game date and everything

your copy of the game should come up with vanilla (ver 1.0) lbp2

would it be right if you just rip your game again? i mean prolly if you rip it it will go back to 1.00

You might have to delete the game, any save games and game updates.

I understand your reluctance to upgrade to 3.55CFW but as a long time user of Hermes on JB myself (and one where I would get conflicts and issues trying to use PL3), I have to say that with Kmeaw's 3.55CFW, it really is all good with the current managers and payloads.

GMV, that's what I was afraid of lol. I realize i'm being pretty retarded and that I shouldn't have updated, but i've updated some of my other backups with no problems. I'll probably just have to go to kmeaw's CFW.

Dude...your not retarded...LOL!! I was a 3.41 + dongle holdout until just last Friday 2/11. I wanted to make absolutely sure this whole CFW thing was safe...well I am soooo happy I made the move...it really has alot of benefits over 3.41.

ohhh i thought your save game data was still on v1.01

well best of luck with kmeaw so far it is one the cfw that i heard is stable in terms of game compatibility ( other is kokov2)

any fix for the corrupt import of lbp 1 data after the update? perhaps deleting the lbp 1 save data and trying again with a new save will work , but I'd rather not play through all of lbp 1 again if I don't need to. Switching to 3.55 KMEAW has been pretty painless. The only otther problem I encountered was with hot shots golf. I had to re-install the game data, updates and dlc from scratch with that one.

You don't have to update to 3.55 CFW. Go to the thread below:

Look for the LBP2 signed pkg fix(post #2). Install the pkg file fix(instructions included) from a USB stick. Now, you can launch the game from XMB. You won't launch games used in this manner from a backup manager though. After doing this, just place your game update on USB and install from XMB.

I'm still on 3.41 Hermes CFW myself. I'm in no hurry to jump ship for now. As long as we have these pkg fixes I'm just going to use those. I assume sooner or later we'll need to update for upcoming game releases but it's okay for now.

Actually, we can stay on 3.41 as long as we have these pkg fixes but it probably won't continue for too much longer. If that happens, we have no choice but to update unless you don't want access to newer games.
