L.A. NOIRE is there any way I can get it to work....

Ok this is the third time I have posted on this f*#king game, it is driving me mad...
What am I doing wrong?
I have split the game onto external and copied to internal from the ext using Multiman. I am on 3.55 cfw. On MM no options are selected when the square button is pressed on either the ext or the int. After copying the game from ext to int I go to run the game from MM from the external copy, it then says processing is required and 15 minutes doing its processing passes. I install the 3.55 patch, go to MM and load the internal copy, it takes me to xmb, I have tried launching with both a disc in and withoutout, I have tried selecting on the square button menu bd mirror and launching with disc in and without, i have tried on square menu selecting internal and launching with game in and without. I have tried using the 3.41 patch and all the variations above. I have tried copying from the original disc and all the various options above, PLEASE someone what am I doing wrong, a step by step of exactly what should be happening at each stage or what options should be ticked, what sequence I am making the error on, I think I have tried about 30 different ways of trying to get this game to work and it feels like I am getting no where. Update to Cfw 4.30...transfer to internal via Black Box or copy with multi man. Game will work.. No more hassles about patching.

I know exactly what you're doing wrong. The game data install absolutely has to be done from external. Ignore the fact that it has 4GB+ file(s). They aren't used for the data install. After install from external, play game from internal

Edit: you may have to do bd mirror from external to get the install to go through

I don't know what you could possibly be doing wrong. The I just tried to get that game working on my friends PS3 4 days ago. All we did was use the Files from my external and he redownloaded the patch and put it on just to make sure he had that backed up and it worked fine. I doubt some one is going to write out a step by step tutorial when there is plenty of them out there for you to read. Sorry bro, try a little research before you post.

BTw I just hought I would put in "la noire eboot fix 3.41" anmd low and behold look what came up, some great step by step tutorials... seriously man, that took less than 30 seconds...

trust me mate, I have tried looking and searching for step by step tuts on this game and followed all of them and also looked on youtube, this site, ps3 hax, and several other sites offering explainations, all have slightly different versions none of which have worked so far using my understanding of how to get it working, so I have posted on here to see if someone can tell me exactly what I am doing wrong. I have included as much info as possible as a last resort. I was more meaning that someone can look at my steps I am following and see where I am going wrong...BahumatLord has been exceptionally nice and responded everytime I have posted and been very helpful so credit to him for being patient. As you say "you don't know what I could possibly be doing wrong" and you got the game to work, well good for you, I am not asking for a smart arse response, I am asking for some HELP having spent probably a similar amount of time trying to get this game to work as it would have taken to play and complete the game. I reitterate I have spent and wasted a lot of time reading about how to get the game to work, following the tutorials I have found and trying just about every way I can think of to get the game working, and here detailed (for the third time) what I am doing and what I have done in order to get to the bottom of this, so if you can find it in yourself to show a little understanding please do before casting a broad assumption that I have simply come here having spent a few times trying to get this game to install, I have tried possbily 30+ times to get it to install.

and one last thing, I have that patch already. Got all the patches, got the original game, tried that, downloaded the version available of filesharing sites, tried that in the event that something was incorrect in any of the proceedures I was following.....

I have la noire running from external using mm with Hermes payload for partial install of split files on internal I never installed any patch the game ran fine cant remember wether or not I pressed select + x to start the game, anyways it took me to XMB and I went to the disc icon and it was good to go. I always have a disc inserted for better compatibility. Hope that helps ps I was running kmeaw 3.55

ok heres what i have done, deleted hdd version, went to launch off external having selected bd mirror on square menu, message comes up preprocessing on internal required do you wish to process...yes selected, 15 minsdoing its thing, then back to mm copy external to internal. Internal has nothing selected on square screen. I go to load and exit to xmb. Disk is in, install patch for 3.55 select the cd called la noire.......black screen.
so I restart again, back to mm, internal squre screen has bd mirror selected which automatically selects external, go to load and obviously message pops up title cannot be loaded from internal, transfer to external usb hdd or change title options. So I square the internal and clear the highlighted bd mirror , go to external and select bd mirror and external is highlighted. I go back to internal and select it to launch, select the disk icon called la noire.....it black screens....So this time I will wipe the la noire file on game data utility, go to mm square the internal, nothing is selected, square the external nothing selected, load the internal, no exit to xmb, just black screen....now what?

ok first, you're using an old version of multiman. Recent versions when you select BD mirror on internal it does NOT automatically select external.

Second, I don't know what you're doing to get it to say it needs to be preprocessed on internal.

Pay attention because I'm not going to repeat this

Make sure standard is set as your BD emulator in multiman options
The first time you set up this game you need 2 backup copies. One on internal and one on external
Make sure BD mirror is selected for your external copy and load that. It should go through the data install. If not, check your game data menu and delete anything that says LA Noire then make sure you apply your patches again if needed
Once the data install is done, quit the game and load up your internal copy from multiman. The game should load fine as long as you're not trying to use external game data and you're loading from the disc icon with a PS3 disc in the drive. If you've got a busted bluray then it probably won't work

If you follow that exactly it will work unless you have a bad patch. Make sure you turn off all settings except for what I spelled out for you

Make sure you do a test on both copies of the game. Your internal should say you have x number of big files and your external should say you have x number of split files. Depending on how you transferred you could have screwed those up
