anyway, i got it working from the external. my mistake was using the EUR version patch i had... forgot I need the US patch for this method.

still the same sound issues. unchecking BD mirror didn't help

Little help here, please.

Currently trying to make the EU backup work on my 3.55 kmeaw slim. I ftp'd files to the proper folder. Started from multiMAN 2.0.0, multiman did the PARAM.sfo editing from 3.60 to 3.55. Downloaded the patch then, installed it, ran the game. The game started and installed fine, but just when it's about to load, here comes the endless loading loop. I'm running discless.

Any help is much appreciated.

My experiences with LA Noire have been flawless. The procedure I followed to install it was as follows (i do this with all games actually)

Using Iris manager, and an FTP client of your choice
1. Start FTP in iris, copy the game to internal hdd in folder of your choice
2. go to xmb and install pkg patch file for la noire to work
3. use this fix permisisons (as none of the fix permissions in current managers work in my experience) http://psx-scene.com/forums/726287-post4.html (Fix Permissions.pkg download link?)
4. open iris again and select la noire to mount
5. run the game without any problems.

so you save 8gig if you decide to play it externally and there will be 16gig cache to be installed internally right?

noob question: if i decide to uninstall the game. does deleting the game from external drive automatically deletes the cache in internal drive?

for me on internal following the procedure i posted above, yes, every element has worked in the game perfectly

if by "cache" you mean game data, then no, the game data is still there after you delete the actual game dump from your drive
