Killzone 3 sound stutter/ slow loading?
Killzone 3 sound stutter/ slow loading? –

I've backed up Killzone 3 to my internal harddrive which is a Seagate Momentus 5400.6 250gb harddrive which is similar to the original 60gb hard drive which came with my PS3.
The problem is after I load it up with Gaia or Multiman the beginning is flawless but when it loads campaign or bot mode it kind of takes forever to load and I just experienced a freeze midway through the first mission, but I could still run around, just nothing happened and when I quit the game it restarted.
Is this normal? Could it be my hard drive? Is an update to the game going to fix it? Thanks.
Btw, the game is about 42 gb or something like that. I bought the Playstation Move bundle and all the other gadgets and accessories like the Navigation and the Sharpshooter. I just want this game to work like it's supposed to from the internal.

I dont think you have a bad hard drive, more like the type of hdd that you bought, i have the same problem, it dont freeze much on me, only like 3 times, but the out of sinc audio is a drag to say the least, i got a scorpio blue 1 tb i believe, less than a month old, so far is the only game that does this, i know it was in another thread about this issue, i just never cared to correct anything if it is correctable lol
Edit: mine is on a slim also

I see, well I barely swapped the harddrives out this morning lol. I took it out of one of those small external harddrives, since we have lots. I would bet it would run alot faster if it could run off of USB instead because the PS3 has to read/write and process at the same time on one HDD lol.

This game is screwed up. Playing from internal causes this problems. I have original HDD.
It propably caches a lot of data on the HDD, but when we play from the same HDD the game reads and writes to the same device, at the same time. Performance is horrible because of that. I think that playing from internal would solve this problem.
I'm just saying you are not the only one. My new Slim with it's factory hard drive has problems too.

I see. Hopefully it can be worked out somehow, I just don't know what to do about it right now

One of the old Open Managers from dongle days might have had an idea on this one, it use to have an option to install game data to external.

That's normal, the Killzone 3 have a slow loading time. If you don't want some bugs, just install the patch 1.04 (the 1.03 freezes the game and hangs, but the 1.04 it's nicely and give you a online multiplayer).
