Internal Backups to External?
Internal Backups to External? –
01-22-2011,07:13 PM
I have several ps3 games backed up on my internal drive of my ps3, and today I bought a 500gb Seagate portable drive and I've already formatted it to FAT32. I launched blackb0x and opened FlashFXP on my PC trying to move my games from my GAMES folder on my ps3 to dev_usb without having to copy them all on my pc and then to my external drive. When I try the move though, it says
[R] RNFR /dev_hdd0/GAMES
[R] 350 File Exists
[R] RNTO /dev_usb/GAMES
[R] 550 RNTO Cound not rename file
Move Failure!
Is there any way I can move from ps3 to external without going through the long process of copying to PC and then copying to the drive?
Thanks,
Aodhan

Just hook the hard drive up to the ps3 and transfer them using one of the BM's, all should have a copy option

It should, only thing is I think you'll have to transfer them one at a time.

yeah, not gonna lie, it's brutally slow, but about 20x faster than it would've been , thanks so much.
