I Wonder Which Backup Manager Dev Will See the Light First? –
Much kudos to deank for developing read only access for the NTFS file system with his Multiman Backup Manager. What gets me is why NTFS?
Besides the fact that it seems most members/registered users rely on windows pcs, it is a file system that leads nowhere because it is belongs to M$ and they're not interested in letting anyone muck around with it.
What are the alternatives? Well, for all us mac users we shout HFS+! And don't worry pc users, you can install drivers on a pc for read/write access - I have that on my pc.
That said, the more realistic/likely file system is the extended file system i.e. Ext2/3/4. It's fully open source and you can install drivers to access to Ext2/3 on both a mac and pc!
So, my question again is; Which backup manager dev will see the light first?
