I DONT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING

Umm, yea. I am a total noob when it comes to this crap... I dont understand any of these freaking guides. they all want you to go and DL something without giving you a link, then you already need to know this or have that.... why doesnt someone make a GeoHot TUT from nothing on your ps3, to getting the damn games running, and put it all in a language my high ass can understand?!?!

I have two ps3's. I have no intention of pirating games, the only thing I want is the ability to play the games I already own without needing any form of blu ray disc. the reason for that is someone tripped over my ps3 while playing, thus ruining my BR eye (thing still plays dvds). i just said f*** it and bought a 320g move bundle.

I just got the GeoHot thingy working on my ps3. I have the folder that says install package files. what i need to know is how to get games on my ps3. The only thing I've DL on it is the GeoHot Jailbreak thing i got from his site. now I have no idea where to go from here.

The guides are as simple as its gonna get. Tutorials are labelled as such because they tell you step by step what to do. Do you want someone to come over and do it for you, maybe even hold your hand? Read the threads, if you don't understand, keep reading. All of the people on here were n00bs at one stage, the only thing you can do is read up about it and learn.

You already have the jailbreak installed so you can read and can understand, read the respective threads for each backup manager and CFW and you will soon learn what you need to do. It's not difficult, but if you really can't understand it, then I don't think you should be messing around with flashing your PS3 in the first place.

Yes, if you actually read the threads then you will find out how. Look at Waninkoko and Rogero BM, everything you need to know is in the respective threads for each.

yea.. i had been reading on 3 different sites, and they all said something about a blu ray disc. right now im trying to figure out how to use this multiman thing. still trying to figure out how to get it on the ps3

You have Two ps3's, and you don't have a Dongle !!, is the best way to backup and play your games. and there are a lot of video tutorials, Buy yourself a USB dongle.

I thought those were outdated? if i remember correctly you cant play online on those anymore, unless something has changed. i dont know. It really wouldnt matter if i got a Dongle, because my shit is already modded, i just need to figure out how to put stuff on my ps3, something that seems to be IMPOSSIBLE to find anywhere.

If you don't even know how to install a pkg file even after installing the jailbreak that has an "Install Package" function then I think you should stop where you are. As D'SIGNER says, get a dongle to save any hassle as I feel no matter what anyone says to you you will always want more and to be told exactly what to do. There is plenty of information on all the different approaches in the Game Backup sub-forum alone never mind elsewhere. Everything you need to know is in the threads here, and put in a simple fashion that anyone can follow.

Your BR eye is dead so even multiman (or any manager) isn't gonna help you. You will need to take your discs and extract them on your PC and upload it to your PS3 via FTP. Google blackbox PS3 FTP, download the pkg for it, put it on the root of a USB drive and install it via the install package option you found thanks to geohots CFW (this applies to all packages you want to install btw).

You'll also have to use custom 3.55 eboots since you aren't using a backup manager, but that's a whole other issue.

If you don't have a BR drive on your PC then you're stuck having to download the games from torrents or some other site that has them.

Don't buy a dongle.

dude, all i wanted to know was how to get stuff on the ps3. nothing anywhere when I DL anything told me how to get it on the system. how am i just supposed to automatically know where to put this crap, or how to put it on? You say its all in plain english for anybody to understand, and sure, it might be, for someone who knows anything about any of this stuff, which is not me. I dont want no damn dongle.

i would have just started putting shit on it, but as i said I dont know what I'm doing, and i didnt want to mess my system up.
