How to transfer games from PC to external HD?
How to transfer games from PC to external HD? –

Hi Guys,
Sorry if this has been answered a lot ( i have a feeling it may have been) - i searched around, but seems the answer is to transfer to Internal.
How do you transfer PS3 games to your external Drive. Is it as simple as plugging in your external Drive to your pc by USB, and copying it over?
If i look at the games on my external through my PC - all the folders in the root have weird names....
How do i go about doing this?
Thanks a ton!

Create a folder at the root of the drive called GAMEZ. Put all your game folders inside there (the BLES folders). You can rename the game from the BLES folder name to something that is more ledgible to you and the game will still work.

You are right! if you save the game in the external drive, you can not have any games with files bigger than 4G. Those games will only be playable from an internal HD for now.
also, you can use Comgenie's file manager to move games from your external to your internal and back!
