Gulp, dunno, none of mine worked using "select + x" from a external :s.
Select + X for external is to emulate BD-ROM mirror on external USB, this is usually for games that stick at black screen discless or not.
Maybe the games that werent working , was from the USERS end , as it works flawless for all the games that would not run with any method! EX Tomb Raider , FEAR 2 , AC 1 , and there was a few more..some Brunswick Bowling ....they were the most problematic games. Which ones couldnt you get working using select X , also the BLES-111 or BLES111 doesnt make any diff you could have the folder with the game name , NHL2011 , aslong as the games folder structure is in the root of the created folder (NHL2011) it will work....its alot easier when adding or modding your games having to look up the gameid just to distinguish the diff games is rather annoying
Works for me, easy to. Running Multiman with Crysis on the Internal HDD in GAMES.
Select + X then Yes, boots game, game errors, goes back to the XMB.
Go to the Last Game thing, run it, USUALLY boots the game and we're set.
[Sometimes] it'll error and kick back to the XMB, which I just run the last
save thing again and viola, boots into the game.
Crysis 2 == Awesome game. If you haven't bought it, then do so.
Bought it for pc for $35, can't wait to get new parts to actually play it though![]()
Excuse me i have a problem, crysis doesn't work...i put the game in internal hdd then i run the game with select+x but ps3 returns to XMB
Can you help me? Thanks![]()
In multiman if you hit select + x on external games (for black screen games) you load them in xmb from disc in drive or /app_home/PS3_GAME, but if you dont hit select + x, just x on external game, a prompt should pop "Do you want to start the game now without exiting to XMB?" That prompt will not pop up on external if you used select + x and picked yes, so to get it to come back hit select + x on the game again and when it asks to emulate BDROM on USB or whatever say no. Then load game again with just x and a prompt should pop backup "Do you want to start the game now without exiting to XMB?" say yes, for direct boot on external.
I'm getting this same phenomenon to happen on external. No game data installed, I load Crysis 2 with just X, then when it asked "Do you want to start the game now without exiting to XMB?" I say yes. The game starts then says corrupt data.
I go back to last played game "crysis 2" pick it, then says corrupt data again, I do this one more time then it installs and works, but only until I load a different game, then you have to start the process over again like reinstalling the game everytime you want to play discless. If I load Crysis 2 without exiting to XMB data corrupts again and I have reinstall. If I dont direct boot the game doesnt work and goes back to XMB. Anyone had any luck on internal without having to reinstall everytime you switch games?
Update multiMAN to 01.16.13. There was a bug about param.sfo version change.
