How to change game title for use with Gaia?
How to change game title for use with Gaia? –

Hi- been looking for this but to no avail. Though I have not tried this myself since am a bit hesitant thinking it can render my back-up unusable. Just asking if this is possible.
Just want to know what file(s) to edit and what windows application I can use to alter the game title ID that is shown in the Gaia Manager?
This will be useful for me to remind me how to boot my back-ups by adding for example "DB" (working with direct boot) and/or "DL" (disc less boot), in the game title.
Thanks in advance!

Use PS3SFOEditor to make the changes and save.
If all your games are already on your PS3, you will need to FTP the PARAM.SFO you want to change and then FTP it back. The SFO is lcoated under each games PS3_GAME folder.
Depends on your games location but for example:-
dev_hdd0/GAMES/BLES12345/PS3_GAME/PARAM.SFO
I do this so to change game titles that are all in caps etc.

Yeah, that's all you need to do.

Also, it would be worth your while to submit it as a feature request to Drizzt that either they be allowed to be renamed within Gaia Manager or that the app check for an ini of some sort stating what the name should be displayed as before going straight to the SFO.

just a question, but if you edit a title for example "HEAVY RAIN" to "Heavy Rain" in the SFO, does this not effect things like, updates | save games | game data...
reason I ask is that dont forget the SFO isnt supposed to be moddified, so could other aspects of the game reply on the original name?
just a thought

AFAIK, nothing uses the name. Everything uses the game id.
