I am having a horrible time finding a fix since it's such an old game that didn't want to work and than people just totally ignored it.
i don't know if there is a new fix for it but the last fix i remember required u to play it from external HDD by pressing select+x in multiman.
New Fix for internal HDD: buy a Cobra USB, save it to internal in iso format, mount game w/ Cobra USB Manager, start game from BD icon with or without disc

also, I know this sounds like an EXTREMELY nooby question even though i've been here a while but I am totally lost on backups on external. Is there a way to use a 4 gig USB to split the game and carry it over in bits and pieces and call it external or do I have to strictly use my USB? If not is there a way to shrink this down to 3-4 gigs?
It's funny that he's such a douche to people recently (self-admittedly, nonetheless), yet he wants help now... That being said:
Bitsbubba is spot on. 1) You can buy a Cobra and use the ISO. 2) You could buy a PS2, as you said. Or, 3) just forget about it (again, as you said).
Or, 4) you could wait for JFW-DH which presumably will have the features of Cobra, and it won't cost you a dime. That's the option I'd choose.
