Hopefully not a dumb question

Ok i have been trying to search this, but im not sure how to word it for search.. I have backed up all the games i own to my internal HDD i have a few games that require a disk to be in tray and start from blue cd under game with ps3 game loaded, otherwise from apps_home they black screen... now what im wondering, say if my laser dies and no longer reads blu ray, is there any way to play that game at all or am i screwed on the games that need that when my laser dies... like is there and app that could make the ps3 think there is a blu ray in so a blue disk would show up under games menu.. i know it might be a dumb question, but if there is an work around any 1 has discovered, please help a poor fool out lol... i fear my laser is givin out already takes too long after i insert a isk to pop up on xmb.. like 20 secs after a few seconds the blue light flashed twice but right after the 2 flashes the disk loads... i have a slim and on kmeaw 3.55 using MM 15.03 if that matters

So far i do not think theres is one, tho there have been many calling for one, but at this point no, but this scene is ratter new, i am sure with time there will be one

For starters, always supply the mandatory information,

What Firmware are you on?
What Loader are you using?

If a game black screens, you could always try turning it into a PSN title. Hopefully sometime this year someone will figure out how to decrypt NPDRM EBOOT.BIN files so we can use updates in the PSN titles. Some games just don't work, though those games are rare and getting rarer with users like DeanK furthering patching Lv2 research. By the time your drive dies, there will probably be a work around.

hmmm that sucks... lol i wouldnt worry but i have heard alot of laser bout fail within an hour after installin them, i ordered one off ebay a while back and istalled it and it worked long enough for the game to pop up on xmb then dies so im wary about getting a replacement just for that
