Help with PS2 games on PS3 with OPL over SMB network
Hey I recently got Swap Magic for my BC PS3 and tried running some PS2 backups from an external HDD and everything went just fine but some games were way too laggy due to the slow USB 1.1 speed the PS2 supported. So I looked into it a little bit and found if you run the games over a network from your PC they would be much faster. So I gave it a shot and have had absolutely no success and I have no idea why. I first tried running them through my router and I filled in the settings in OPL correctly and I have sharing properly set up on my PC and I have my Guest account enabled and the games just refuse to show up. I've tried creating a new username on my PC for the PS3 to connect to, tried different operating systems, even tried using my friend's laptop and all with no success. I even went out and bought a crossover cable and tried using a direct connection between my PC and PS3 and still nothing. I've searched through many different threads and tried everything I can think of so I was wondering if anyone else has been in a similar situation and could help me out.
EDIT - Fixed it. I was using OPL 0.8 so I tried 0.7 and put the games on an FAT32 formatted partition instead of NTFS and it finally worked.
