Help with Folklore

So,
I made a backup of Folklore the US version BCUS98147
everything is fine game boots up i play but when i start the prologue as Ellen after i talk to the scarecrow and head to the henge when i go through the bridge i get black screen and the little icon on the south-east corner of the screen flashes and the ps isn't frozen
i barely find a game exciting but from the first looks i really liked it so i hope it's fixable and i spent like 8 days finding it as it's really an old game back from 2007 and i really wanna play it
P.S: I want to add that i re backed it up to HDD , Re installed game data , tried with and without 1.10 patch
and i saw somewhere that this problem is caused when the game is running on EXT but im running from INT
Hope somebody knows the answer cause i really wanna play this RPG

I Downloaded Folklore from PS3Turk's thread on ****** I D'led the BCUS98147 version
i transferred it to my internal hdd as I always do to my games via FTP

psx-scene doesnt support piracy...if u like the game go buy it...it's old, cheap and i guarantee u won't have a problem with it after that

yeah they tend too...truthfully i have the game on disk and never tried running it from hd (although i didn't like that game and its collecting dust)...have you tried running it from external...i know u said u heard it doen't work on external only internal just thinking maybe they got internal/external missed up in that artical...also what fw u running...and what payload in multiman...may want to try changing from hermies to pl3 (i think it is pl3 may be wrong name) in multiman

I don't have an external hdd , i'm playing backups from like a year and half and never got into a trouble and didn't fix it cause the answer is always on your favorite friend the internet , but i searched all over the internet and this error is caused if u run game from external and btw i've not seen a game which run on ext and doo't run on int ,yet.
i'm on Kmeaw's CFW 3,55.
as for the payload thing ,honestly idk but i've never encountered it but i fooled around in MM settings and found BD-ROM Emulator so i clicked x and a menu came up with (hermes which is the one used and none and standard)
and btw about buying the game , i'm from a country which ps3 discs are rarely to be found and if it happenes it costs like 1/3 of the price of a ps3 system
gonna try discless and change the bd-emulator stuff and will give a feed-back
#Edit: btw wanna add that during my search over the internet i haven't found this error cause the US version is less to be found than the EU version so i saw the ext problem on a torrent site where the uploader said that u gotta go through the prologue on INT cause it hangs on EXT but it hanged on me with INT :/

i remmeber hearing a few games that require external only...but i don't know about this one...maybe try standard mode with a disk in the drive (that never hurts)...could be u just got a bad rip and missing a file or something....maybe try a new rip...whats the size of your game according to http://www.pshomebrew.net/wiki/PS3_B...atibility_List is should work on internal, diskless, bd mirror, and be 14.8 gb

Note 1: BD Mirror uses the multiMAN alternate external boot method. To use this load multiMAN highlight the game and press Select + X. Or enable it in the game options screen in multiMAN. (this is an old version of multiman described i'm not sure if it's the same way now u can try)
Note 2: If a game is verified as working and isn't, make sure to set permissions in the games properties (Accessed with triangle key)

The game is 14,7b , hmm wonder where these 100mb go ?
but i think all this methods is to get the game to boot and has nothing to do with the game itself after it boots ?
anyway will try , won't hurt
tried to make the bd-mirror working on the options but it automatically highlited the external option which didn't let me to boot the game is it's on internal

In the link u gave me , u see that this error is caused from launching the game from EXT but im running on INT so there shouldn't be a problem
I think there's a thing which makes the ps3 system think that i'm launching from EXT when im launching from INT.

#EDIT: I've come up with an idea , maybe the guy who uploaded it , he uploaded it from an already played from External HDD Copy , so do u know a way of which I can know how to organise the files inside the PS3_GAME folder ?

He's right that it would be better if you weren't so blatant about piracy. My hands aren't clean and anybody on here that says theirs are is probably lying. Just please phrase it better. Instead of saying "I downloaded", just say "I made a backup". We all know what's going on but just be subtle in the future please. I didn't read all the posts, but did you get it figured out?

Okey , but imho it doesn't matter I just wanted to say that i got it from a trusted website ( not so trusted now right ?!)
Nope , It's really annoying as i don't know where the problem is nor how to fix it
and i would've made another backup but the game is old and it's rare to find :/
got any ideas ?

I've got the BLES version and I could only get it to run from external. I see you know about the payloads (hermes and standard) I always use hermes when I'm on Rebug or KMEAW and haven't had any trouble. My BLES version I have to use BD redirection (Select+X) from external for it to work right. I don't know where you live but in the US you can find 16 gig thumb drives for about $10. That's usually big enough for most games you'll run across. Even if you have to order from Amazon or Ebay it might be something worth looking into. It would be a single-game solution in most cases, but a lot of games are external only

Edit - I think Hermes payload is at version 4 but I'm not sure. Just grab the bdemu2 from the downloads up top to make sure you're current
