Help deleting a recently installed package file game fix
Help deleting a recently installed package file game fix –
I just got Operation Flashpoint Red River, and installed the package fix that was posted on this site a couple of weeks back. Problem is, I installed the package before letting MM change thae pram to 3.55, so I am getting an error when I try to boot up the game. I have done several of these games correctly in the past, but goofed this time. I don't know where to delete the package fix so I can start over, and don't want to screw around in MM File Manager and do more harm than good. Can anyone tell me exactly where this would be located and if there is anymore needed to get this running other than deleting this file?
I was assuming that the pkg file stored information somewhere in addition to gamedata. Thanks anyway, though.
I thought this because I had already tried unintall/reinstall a couple of times now on that gamedata, and I still keep getting the error, so I assumed it was saved somewhere else as well.
the error I get when trying to launch is 80010017, and when I looked it up, some people think it has to do with the BD laser. This freaked me out, but when I checked my other games, they can all be played by disc emulated in MM, as well the actual discs can run themselves. This is the only game out of 30 I have that gets this error.
After I ripped OFRR to my external, I installed the patch before letting MM change the pram to 3.55. After the patch, I then changed it to 3.55, tried to launch, and have the error ever since. After this, I remembered this was a select X/Mirror game, and that I didn't do that on my first attempt. So I switched that feature on, but still no dice. In addition to deleting the pkg file from gamedata, and deleting the game from my external and reripping, I notice that MM doesn't prompt me to change the param to 3.55 anymore, and that the BD Mirror stting I had activated was still highlighted. Even after deleting/reinstalling MM.
What would I need to delete to just try this whole thing over from scratch? As I said, MM has my settings saved for this game (BD Mirror and param 3.55 changed) so I guess clearing all this stuff out is needed to do the job right at this point?
