Seems like Heavy Rain needs a disc in the PS3 to be playable.
Is it BCES00802 you have?
have you tried putting a disc in the drive?
Heavy Rain contains file(s) over 4Gb, which is NOT supported on external FAT32. If you own a copy, you could acquire another copy from the internet and FTP it to your internal drive, which would run with no problems. As for discless, no solution at the moment.

He cries for help, and when someone tries he act like a kid
Goodluck though, I do know a solution but forget it.
sure you do robocrop, sure you do.... no, it doesn' t work with disc in drive if the disc icon doesn' t actually show on the xmb.
If you have got the European version [Game ID: BCES00802], then here you go - this is where I got it from: » PS3 EUR Heavy Rain (BCES00802) 3.55 eboot fix’d or for the US Version [Game ID: BLUS98164], here it is - http://rapidshare.com/files/44259661...1122223333.pkg
My laser isnt dead YET but will be... i too would like to see a .pkg file that after your run it it would emulate a Blu ray disk in drive and make the blue cd pop up under games... i wonder if there is any1 that could create that app... i wish to god i knew how to do that stuff cause thats def what i would be working on
