I'm using a Omega 640gb hdd..
(Originally just used with Wii, all 640gb). I ended up partitioning 320-ish for ps3, and 240-ish for Wii?
Meh, might as well make more room for ps3 games

I thought the max size the PS3 will recognize is 1TB. Has that been increased to 2TB recently?
I remember seeing some discussion regarding HDD connection via eSATA so that an externally located HDD could be seen as an internal drive to the PS3. Which specific HDD/parts have people used to get that to work?
Thanks,
jawgee

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YB8628tuL50]YouTube - Replace the HDD of PS3 60GB(2.5inch) to 400GB(3.5inch)[/ame]
By the way, does anyone know a good brand for a 500gb+ internal 2.5 HDD that will not stutter?

I'm just using the original 80gb for now with a 4 year old 160gb portable hd (usb powered) and it works great. Tomorrow my 750gb internal that I got for $80 should be here tomorrow.
The PS3 should be able to read 2TB external drives just fine since that is the largest you can format to FAT32. I have no idea how big their proprietary formatting will read on internal HDDs, although I've never really checked around.
