Hard Drive 2.0 or 3.0

Hi

Nowadays PS3 has 2 USB ports with a standard of 2.0

Will there be a difference of speed in running the content from the external hard drive if i buy 3.0 external? Is it going to be faster?

Or due to the lower standard of the ports in PS3, the speed of transfer will be restriced to the speed limit of USB 2.0?

I'am asking because i do not know what external (1TB) should i buy - 2.0 or 3.0?

It will most likely be the same, maybe a little better, or a little worse. Just buy a external HDD with 7200 rpm.

Since the PS3 has 2 USB ports, it will not take advantage of USB 3.0.

Buy the 2.0 ... remember these ( for now ) are mostly running Fat32 .. which is slow on its best days and you'll never get an " up in speed " unless you do some hardware mods ... Good Luck
