Guitar Hero's will not work! 3.55mfw kmeaw

I have recently tried to backup my Metallica and Van Halen (just got bored one day) and realized that they did not work past the "Press any Button" Even with the original disc in the drive. Anyone know of a way i can fix this? Thanks for any useful comments! I would like to play these games, and not have to walk my games to my neighbors house.

seems odd that they load to the start of the game, just a thought, you have got the guitar reciever plugged in the ps3? & batteries in the guitar? GH metallica working for me, never played van halen so cant comment on that one, try re-ripping again maybe you got a bad rip, happens sometimes

I understand what you mean but the origonal games don't play either, and yes my guitar batteries work

I have this same problem, cannot get past the 2nd 'press any button to rock' screen, on both GH Metallica & GH Smash Hits. I'm using a logitech guitar, kmeaw 3.55. I've tried everything, the funny thing is that rock band plays just fine.

I put Rebug 3.55.2 onto my ps3, (phat) and turned off the internet connection with no luck. My Van Halen is somewhat off of the screen (the last time it did that, was when the daylight savings didn't work right back in feb i think), and my metallica has no change. so im SOL when it comes to these games I guess. I can play world tour though.... but not really into that one so much. Still no one knows?!! No patch or anything? lol

What type of guitar are you using, i'm convinced it's got something to do with the wireless usb dongles?

Sorry for bumping this old thread but I wanted to let you know that I solved my problems with guitar hero + logitech wireless guitar controller by removing qa flag from my console. All guitar heros play fine now. Hope this helps anyone else.
