GT5 Working but Crashing

Hi all,

I have the US version of GT5 booting fine however when trying to actually race its locking up while loading. The progress bar will eventually get to the end but then it will just sit there.

I've managed to get it to load the first licence test once and since then does the same thing everytime and I have to reboot.

Anyone else having this issue?

Running on 60GB Fat with Picf4550 JB, Gaia 1.4 and PIC18F-iLLNESS-Hermesv4b-PSN-DBG_STN-3.50_SPOOF-LEDB145C0-1-USBHID payload.

I have tried installing the files within the game and tried deleting them with the do not install as you go selected, still no luck

Welcome to the club. I can't get past the silver gt logo. I guess we win some and lose some.

Was just thinkin about opening a thread to discuss what works, and what doesnt work.
I was able to race in the arcade mode single player, but as soon as i finished and exited, it froze up. I tried career and a practice round, it locked up trying to load. Other then that I have not tried anything else.

I have a teensy 2.0 runing hermes v4b 3.50 spoof on a us 80bg fat.

apparently some1 found the solution instead of ftping the game try to copy it or run it on ptached mode on :

Do you mean S.pram patch or memory patch (F1 2000 fix I beleive??)


Mine just worked on Arcade mode on the high speed ring. Just tried arcade on R246 track and its just sitting there, 100% on the progress bar but dosen't want to go any further

I figured it out, it's because we FTP'd it to our PS3. I tried with the old "Patched" mode turned on and it boots fine, turned patched back off and tried again and Silver GT Logo of death. So either transfer to external and then back to internal or just run it in patched mode when necessary.

What "Patched" mode do you mean?

I have just set the mem patch mode in Gaia manager and it refuses to boot

yeah i have the same issues i cant load practice without it freezing im using openmanager no patch and i split the files and joined em so no ftp us version

patched version doesnt work here neither...

I try to use the patch in multiman I then launch the game from the disc icon and it gets past the adjust screen option but asks for me to free up 32mb of space on the hard drive. I have 67gb free.

Strange stuff.
