GT5 is such a b –

I mean, you finally get it running, after dozens of black screens, install fails, whatever shit youve gone through. then it freezes like randomly while playing, in the middle of saving, and your save corrupts, gotta do the whole ****ing thing over again, man this game, honestly i want to kick it in the face. also loading times are SLOW AS SHIT
is there a way to get this game running perfectly fine? I mean I see people struggle with black screens or even getting it to boot, trust me youve seen nothing, theres so much more shit to come, lol. and with perfectly fine I mean it wont freeze during loading / saving anymore.
it's just GT5 too, i've tried plenty games, had some problems with a couple but nothing unfixable, I guess GT5 just loads saves and installs way too often, bound to go wrong some time.

have you played it properly tho, I mean I had it running without problems for like 3 hours and then it froze on save right after I had bought a car, corrupted, had this happen like 4 times now, sometimes freezes on loading which aint that bad since it doesnt corrupt your save file

make sure you have newest update of gran turismo. Also make sure you do the complete install of it (not the very short "system install" it does at start). The full install will take about 40ish mins. It would also be smart to backup you saves before you load the game, so the amount you lose is not as bad

Same thing happens to me, except I'm smart and I back-up my save to a USB stick each time I get to a certain point.

I had a few problems in the beginning with GT5 on 3.41….but it didn't take long to figure that I pretty much HAD to use Hermes V4b to work properly. But other than that, I haven't had anything major. I did have a corrupt game save once but that wasn't a big deal as it was a save I had downloaded off this website. I just used it to pass cars to MY GT5 account. So, with it crashing and corrupting my game save, I just had to restore the hacked game save and still had all the cars again! So i basically duplicated them LOL….I mainly use the hacked game save because it has 18M Credits and i can buy cars on that one, upgrade them, then send to my main save. My main save gets backed up EVERY day (at least every day that I play the game). I have spent WAAAAAAAY too much time on GT5 to even THINK about losing my progress….I do tend to backup my game saves anyway due to the paranoia of game saves becoming corrupt. I've had this habit even since the PS1, I would save my games, then back up the saves on a 2nd memory card…same thing with PS2, and now i just backup my PS3 saves on my USB drive.
