gt5 on ext harddrive

hi all ive to gt5 on a ext harddrive i got the game from a mate and copyed it there before i read about ripping it in patch mode is there a way to copy it back onto the ps3 harddrive so i can play it iam using a fat ps3 with 3.41 and a usbbreak v1 i hope some one can please help thanks

or will i need the game again and rerip it in patch mode

If it's on the external drive, you need to transfer it to internal and have the files rejoined. Most recent managers should support automatic rejoining when you move from the external to internal. Once that's done, you may need to run the PL3_Fix permissions app in order to enable patch mode.
