Gran Turismo 5 Won't Boot. KMEAW 3.55 CFW

My GT5 aint working I keep getting black screen as well!! I think i put the Eboot in the right spot but i tried loading the a unmodified eboot with all 3 loaders and BLACK SCREEN.. i have to be doing something wrong

My black screen issue was solved by running permission fix

I assume you have run Lvl2 patch first? then the backup manager?

I'm finding that GT5 is just to unstable with these backup managers,

The game can freeze at any time, normally when its saving the game or loading tracks,

And when it does freeze it corrupts your saved game progress so you have to start from the beginning again which is very frustrating

I'm running GT5 updated to version 1.05 with the latest Gaia BM on Kmeaw 3.55 CFW

Anyone els having simler problems?

There are a LOT of extra and unnecessary steps in this thread.

I am running KMEAW 3.55 and Gaia 2.04 and I dont need to run a lv2patcher as Gaia has the latest version built in. I also didnt need any modified files AND i was able to update the game through the internet, meaning I didnt need a usb stick or to ftp files over.

Hi I'm trying exactly the same way as you... albeit I'm trying with for main (11gig ish) file chopped into 3 parts and running off usb.... anyone have this kinda way working?

im getting error "You cannot play this game at the current video output settings (80028F10) im running 1080p but also whats staggering is that my disc shows unsupported data my param is set too 3.5000 but still nothing i got an original ebbot online and nothing anyhelp?

You need to open up your Windows Folder options and click on "Show hidden files and folders" and also, uncheck "Hide protected operating system files" they will then appear

I can't get the game to work either. It let's me install the patch, but afterwards I get the black screen. I've tried to install FIX Permissions, but i receive the error: "80029567"
