Hello guys and nice to meet u all.
Yesterday i patched my fat ps3 to give one more try to this console.
I used every damn tutorial how to make gt5 working.
Please assist if there is something more than things i did.
i used the original eboot.bin.
i fixed the permissions.
result:black screen
i used the prog to split the files.
i fxp it, and fixed the perms and replace the eboot.bin
result:black screen
any ideas?

Usually splitting and fixing files does all sort of bad stuff to games. Its a good idea to either transfer the game as a whole via NTFS (thanks to NTFS support in the latest multiman) or to Re-rip it directly to the PS3 internal HDD.
Thanks to hermes you can now play games with split files with his new backup manager. On 3.55 they just made a port of Hmanager called Iris Manager. I would give that a try and see if it allows you to rejoin those split files correctly on an internal cache and then play the game.
Splitting does no harm at all. Every single game that I have that does not meet the 4GB FAT32 requirement is split on my external. Of course split files are NOT bootable, but MM joins them fine on the internal when I want to play. As for a modded EBOOT that could be the problem. If the EBOOT is from a source other than the original disc that could possibly be a problem.Quote:
