GOW3 WTF!!! –
01-26-2011,10:31 AM
Anbody know what could be the prob with my GOW3 BCUS98111? Everytime I try to rip it (from the original disk) it stops copying after 1459.65 MB. The time keeps going up but the MB copied doesn't move. I've tried multiple BM's, with and without the progress bar progress bar and internal and external all same result!!??
Ideas...?

The only thing I can think of is a scratched or dirty disk. If neither of those are true, I have no idea.

honestly cant say could be a disc problem make sure no scratches or water marks or could be a laser issue. I have the the game and i never had it stop on me
you could always try to find it online but 35gigs is alot LoL sorry i cant be much help.
im on waninkoko cfw if that helps; i have also successfull did it on geohot+wut however i could not get any games to load untill i went to waninkoko.
I should note GoW Collection plays but not GoW3 for me but both rip fine.

I've had this problem in the past with a couple games however GoW 3 copied fine for me.
What I had to do was use Comgenie's Awesome File Manager and copy over 1 folder or file at a time off the disc.
I had also tried multiple managers to get around the issue with no luck, I really think it has something to do with the payload used but I'm no expert.
I haven't seen this issue since upgrading to CFW, not sure if it is still a problem.

Just for future reference are you using a CFW, if so which one?

Yes kmeaw's 3.55 but this was happening even when I wasn't....even when I was on 3.41!
Files are copying now with awesome manager, so far so good. Thanks again

Good to know, I was hoping this issue wouldn't carry over into the CFW but it appears that it has.
Thanks for posting back.

3 hours later and it's still copying!!! Don't know how much is left but it looks like it's down to the individual files in the USRDIR folder.
Hopefully I don't come across to many more games that won't backup with a manager.
I wonder if copying with multiMan's file manager instead of Awesome would have been faster?

I've never used Multiman's File Manager, if you try it and it works better let me know.
