God of War III

I'm wondering. I have the actual disc of God of War III, but do I have to patch it so it run on my 120 slim ps3 cfw 3.55? please say it run without the patch, because i have the disc and i really don't want to copy it onto the exhdd or inhdd.

of course it'll run, there's an update for that game but it works fine without it

All original game disc will run on CFW 3.55 that require said FW or lower.
