No matter how many times i try, i can not understand how to get PKG games to run on PS3.
I have Multiman, I installed Needforspeed PKG to PS3 and then I go into Hex file viewer on multiman.
This is where I get confused: it says to
"Copy all files except the EBOOT.BIN inside the "USRDIR" of the game and paste it inside the "hdd0\game\BLES00949\USRDIR"."

See, I get confused here becuase I am stupid.
Does this mean to copy ALL the files in BLES00949 folder into the one folder "USRDIR" (except the.bin which is already in there) and then paste it to hdd0\game\BLES00949\USRDIR?

Or is it something else? Please explain this as step-by-step as possible, as though talking to a complete idiot (me). Thanks for the help.

Even though i haven't done this before, this what i understand it as.
1.Install pkg (should create folder "hdd0\game\BLES00949\USRDIR")
2.Go to folder of originally backed up game
3.Copy the USRDIR folder of the backed up game to "hdd0\game\BLES00949\USRDIR", but don't copy the EBOOT.BIN (If it helps, move it somewhere else first)

From the instructions given, this is all i can make of it.

Exactly, you can copy the original eboot.bin if you want but you will have to install the pkg again to replace it by the modified one.

Tip of the day,why the hell would anyone do that????The thing is to NOT copy the original EBOOT.

Basically, just do what Johucoba wrote but first I'd remove the gamedata from XMB menu (if there's already a folder named with the gameid you're trying to install)
So, install pkg. This creates a folder at hdd0/game.
Copy or move ALL files and folders (not the EBOOT) from the USRDIR of your original backup to the USRDIR of the newly created folder (where the new EBOOT is, like you said).

There are/should be install notes to every pkg if you need to do something different for a specific game.
