Games and homebrew will not load...

First off thank you for this site, keeping the scene alive. I have been lurking around for a long time just looking and keeping my mouth shut trying not to ask dumb questions. But the problem im having has me stumped. The problem im having is that when I turn on my PS3 sometimes the game disc will not show up and my homebrew or any games will not load. When I eject the disc and insert it again the PS3 just ejects it back out again. This is fixed when i turn on and off my PS3 a few times until finally the game disc shows up and i can load my homebrew and games. I have kmeaw 3.55 custom firmware and my PS3 is a Fat 60gb one. I have formated the hard drive and restored the system from recovery mode but that didnt fix it. I also reinstalled kmeaw 3.55 but didnt do anything. I don't know if im having a hardware issue or a software issue, any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated
