hey ur that guy from the "ps3 file" thread hey :P:D
for ur question u can use FTP to send games from ur comp to the ps3 this can be done with multiman on ps3 side and flashftp or any other ftp client on comp side search for FTP on this site
or u can rip ps3 games with multiman directly to ur ps3 any other backup manager wil do this to but i prefer multiman :P
and for ftp on ps3 u can also use blackbox ftp but i prefer multiman again:D

External USB disk formated on FAT32 is fastest way to transfer games on PS3 for me.
dont ftp, it will take forever, transfer via USB external hard drives like mentioned above. Only FTP if file is larger than 4 GB and you dont want to deal with splitting files. Splitting files is easy though so i never ftp.
