games are appearing on my external hdd root, why?

i installed a pkg that would allow mortal kombat to run on my kmeaw 3.55, i don't know exactly what it would do, but yesterday i hooked the hdd on my computer and its game folder was on the root, instead of being in the GAMEZ folder..

now i tried to run little big planet 2, and then hooked my hdd, and the game folder was on the root again, can someone explaing me what's happening?

i used to play the backups fine without moving folders, but since i got that pkg installed, games are getting moved to the hdd rood

edit: i installed the following file for mortal kombat: EP1018-BLES01132_00-MORTALKOMBATPTCH-A0101-V0100-PE.pkg

anyways, why do you need to install pkgs for to play some games like mortal kombat?

MK9 is a 3.56 game, your CFW is 3.55 you might be able to do that math. someone made the patched EBOOT, and whatever else needed it, into a package for noob convenience
